Mole Valley Together is about everyone

Mole Valley Together is about everyone playing their part, in whatever way they can, to make the most of our beautiful place. It could be by supporting local businesses, by getting involved in local community groups, or by strengthening relationships with others. Most importantly, it is about celebrating everything that Mole Valley has to offer.

We are so proud of all the extra work local businesses have put in to make their premises as safe as they can for customers. The Community Groups that have worked tirelessly to assist neighbours and complete strangers continue to be active and we are keen to support them and promote their great works.

Our beautiful countryside remains a magnet for visitors from across the country and we continue to work to promote responsible behaviour that enhances our unrivalled natural assets and ensures nothing is left behind by any visitors.

The kindness our residents have shown to each other remains a positive legacy of this time. We’d love you to share your stories with us on social media using #MoleValleyTogether, and help us celebrate our incredible community spirit.

Mole Valley is an exceptionally beautiful part of Surrey.

Mole Valley lies at the heart of Surrey, mid-way between London and the Sussex coast.

It takes its name from the River Mole, which runs the length of the district. Mole Valley covers a hundred square miles, and has a population of about 86,000 people.

Around 72% of the district’s population live in the towns of Dorking and Leatherhead, and the villages of Bookham, Fetcham and Ashtead.

Over 90% of the district is countryside, and much of it sits within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The North Downs run across the middle of the district and include Box Hill, a popular visitor spot. To the south lies Leith Hill, the highest point in Surrey.
